Langdale Trust

The Trust funds capital projects across a broad range of causes. In health, it supports air ambulance emergency response vehicles and hospice care facilities providing end-of-life respite, pain management, and palliative support. It funds family support through Home-Start programmes, including home visiting and parenting skills training. Arts and creative activities are supported through venues, therapeutic arts programmes, and inclusive cultural facilities. Environmental protection receives funding for wildlife conservation equipment, habitat restoration tools, and local green space initiatives. Community development projects include befriending schemes, outreach services, and inclusive day centres. All funding is for capital assets such as buildings, equipment, and vehicles, and is restricted to England and Wales.

The Langdale Trust primarily funds registered charities working in England and Wales. It prioritises disadvantaged communities, rural areas, families in crisis, and people with chronic or emergency health challenges. Isolated elderly individuals and carers are also key beneficiaries. The Trust favours grassroots charities delivering practical, asset-driven interventions. It welcomes faith-based projects that align with charitable purposes, with no religious restriction on eligibility.

The Trust does not fund revenue costs, core costs, or unrestricted grants. It rarely supports individuals or non-capital needs. General operating expenses, staffing costs, and ongoing programme costs are excluded from its funding.
