Leigh Trust

The Trust funds a wide range of activities within its seven primary academies, prioritising curriculum development, staff professional growth, teaching and learning enhancements, cross-Trust initiatives, and school improvement programmes. It supports rich, engaging curricula that aim to diminish attainment gaps and support vulnerable children. The Trust also invests in community ties and seamless primary-to-secondary transitions. All funding is directed to its own schools in the West Midlands, specifically Birmingham and the surrounding areas. Beneficiaries are exclusively pupils, staff, and the communities served by these academies.

Eligibility is strictly limited to the seven primary academies within the Leigh Trust in the West Midlands. The Trust does not accept unsolicited applications or fund external organisations, charities, or individuals. There are no income, size, religious, or other external criteria for the schools within the trust. All funding is allocated internally, so only the Trust's own schools can benefit. The focus is on supporting the pupils, staff, and communities of these academies.

The Trust provides all funding internally to its own schools through a centralised integrated model. It offers coordinated support in finance, HR, IT, and facilities, enabling innovation and cohesive governance. Funding is directed to core educational priorities such as curriculum development, staff professional growth, and school improvement. The Trust does not engage in external grant-making and works exclusively within its own network of academies.
