London City Airport Community Fund

The fund supports a wide range of work including community development, environment and sustainability, education and skills, employment support, children and youth activities, services for older people, mental health and wellbeing, physical health, and poverty relief. Beneficiaries include children, young people, older people, women, disabled people, and the general public. Grants are typically modest and intended for project delivery rather than core costs. Priority is given to projects with detailed costs and funding from other sources.

Registered charities, community groups, and individuals can apply. The fund supports organisations working in Barking & Dagenham, Bexley, Epping Forest District Council, Greenwich, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Lambeth, Lewisham, Redbridge, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, and Waltham Forest, with priority given to Newham. It favours grassroots initiatives with strong local ties.

The fund does not support core costs, salaries, capital works, or equipment purchases. It also excludes political parties, commercial or profit-making organisations, bodies with statutory responsibilities (unless the project goes beyond their core activities), projects already completed and paid for, and churches or places of worship where the benefit is exclusive on religious grounds.
