Nineveh Charitable Trust

The Trust funds environmental conservation initiatives including countryside preservation, ecology research, and land management that addresses habitat loss and biodiversity decline. Educational work includes school trips into the countryside, farming experiences linked to STEM curricula, horticulture workshops and silviculture training. Access projects aim to open up outdoor activities and nature-based recreation for the general public, people with disabilities and rural communities facing isolation. Welfare-enhancing activity includes therapeutic outdoor programmes and community-led conservation efforts, along with evidence-based research on agriculture's role in public wellbeing and preventative ecology education. The overall emphasis is on rural environments and community-empowered solutions that build resilience against environmental degradation.

Registered charities, community interest companies, schools and community groups are eligible to apply. The Trust welcomes applications from organisations of all kinds, with no faith-based restriction, and prioritises work that benefits rural communities, isolated individuals, people with disabilities seeking inclusive outdoor access, and organisations advancing countryside education. It is open to both established charities and smaller community-led groups, and values creative, diversity-embracing proposals.

The Trust does not fund general appeals, mail-shots or unrestricted core costs. It prefers to support specific projects that deliver clear public benefit, rather than general fundraising campaigns or day-to-day running expenses.
