The Foundation makes grants to registered charities and community groups operating in England and Wales. It prioritises small and medium-sized organisations, though there is no set income threshold and unsolicited applications are welcomed. Beneficiaries include groups facing challenges related to youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or disadvantage, as well as those advancing the charitable purposes listed in the Foundation's objects.

The Foundation restricts its grants to charitable purposes in line with its objects.
