Moulding Foundation

The Foundation funds projects that address poverty and financial hardship, support young people with disabilities, advance healthcare, and promote public education. This includes direct services, education and skills provision, health improvement initiatives, and community development projects. Beneficiaries include children and young people with disabilities, families facing financial hardship, and people experiencing social exclusion. All projects must be based in the North of England. The Foundation supports a wide range of activities from small grassroots efforts to larger regional initiatives.

UK-registered charities delivering projects in the North of England are eligible to apply. The Foundation welcomes both small and large organisations, with no income thresholds specified. Projects must align with at least one of the four funding pillars and be based in the North of England. There are no religious restrictions. The Foundation prioritises charities working with children and young people with disabilities, families facing financial hardship, and people experiencing social exclusion.

The Foundation does not fund core costs or salaries. Projects based outside the North of England are not eligible. All projects must align with one or more of the four funding pillars; work that falls outside these areas is not supported.

The Foundation offers two grant types: small grants, which can be multi-year, and major strategic grants. It prefers programme-based work over core costs or salaries. The Foundation welcomes unsolicited applications from eligible charities. Its dual-grant structure allows it to support both grassroots charities and larger regional initiatives, providing flexibility in the scale and duration of funding.
