Cause areas span two programmes. The UK-wide 'Opportunities through Sport' initiative supports disabled or disadvantaged people, advancing grassroots and elite disability sport, life skills, health, and independence. Regionally focused support in South East England — including Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex — backs children and young people with special needs requiring additional care. Funding covers projects, capital, and core costs in inclusive education, sports clubs, and barrier-breaking initiatives for excluded communities. The Foundation favours centres of excellence with proven leadership and social impact, prioritising sustainable empowerment over general support.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities and community groups, including Community Amateur Sports Clubs, with at least two years' registration and audited accounts. The Foundation prefers small-to-medium organisations, and local branches of national charities need separate legal status or endorsement. There is no religious restriction. Priority is given to work benefitting disabled or disadvantaged people, children and young people with special needs, and excluded communities. The Foundation looks for proven leadership and social impact, so applicants should demonstrate how their work aligns with the two programme areas and show evidence of sustainable, barrier-breaking outcomes.

The Foundation does not fund activities that fall outside its two programme areas, nor does it support broad, unproven efforts without clear evidence of impact. It prioritises sustainable empowerment over general support, so general appeals without a strategic, outcomes-focused approach are unlikely to succeed. Non-aligned initiatives and projects without proven leadership or social impact are also outside its scope.

The Foundation works by invitation only, welcoming no unsolicited applications. It makes strategic, evidence-based grants and funds projects, capital, and core costs across inclusive education, sports clubs, and initiatives for excluded communities. It favours centres of excellence with proven leadership and social impact, and prioritises sustainable empowerment over general support. The Harrison family and a small staff team govern the Foundation, channelling endowed capital into grants designed for lasting impact.
