The Trust prioritises funding for interfaith activities, youth leadership programmes, skills development for Muslim faith leaders, anti-discrimination efforts, social mobility projects, environmental education, art therapy for vulnerable youth, and amateur sports for community cohesion. Support is given to projects, capacity building, and partnerships that strengthen communities and bridge divides. Geographically, the Trust operates across the UK, with a focus on benefiting British Muslim or interfaith communities. The kinds of work supported include education, mentoring, and initiatives that combat hate and promote understanding. The Trust emphasises long-term infrastructure, such as hate crime responses and British Muslim leadership, rather than small one-off grants. It also supports environmental education and art therapy as part of its holistic approach to community wellbeing.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities with a proven track record of delivering impact. The Trust prioritises organisations that work with young people from minority backgrounds, faith communities – especially British Muslims – and groups that bridge divides across communities. While the Trust prefers established medium-to-large charities, smaller groups can partner with umbrella organisations to access funding. Grants are made UK-wide, and the work must benefit British Muslim or interfaith communities. Charities should demonstrate alignment with the Trust's values of tolerance, social integration, and opportunity creation. Unsolicited applications are not accepted; funding is by invitation only.

The Trust avoids making small one-off grants or capital grants. Core costs or unrestricted funding are rarely covered. The Trust does not typically fund organisations that are not UK-registered charities, and it does not accept unsolicited applications.
