Rose Animal Welfare Trust CIO

The Trust supports core animal welfare activities including rescue and rehabilitation of companion animals, domestic pets, farm animals, equines, and orphaned wildlife. They fund shelter provision for abandoned, abused, or injured creatures; veterinary treatment and emergency care; sanctuary operations creating lifelong refuges for vulnerable species; wildlife conservation initiatives protecting endangered habitats and native fauna; facility improvements enhancing hygiene, space, and enrichment; and project-based interventions such as neutering programmes and cruelty prevention. Their approach emphasises holistic care that combines medical, behavioural, and environmental therapies. The Trust makes grants to organisations across Yorkshire and Humberside, with a geographic priority for that region.

Registered charities and community groups working in animal welfare may apply. The Trust prioritises organisations serving abused companion animals, neglected farm livestock, injured wildlife, and at-risk equines—favouring both grassroots local rescuers and regional branches of national bodies. Applicants should have a clear focus on direct animal protection, rescue, or care, and be based in or serving Yorkshire and Humberside.

The Trust does not fund non-animal welfare causes, human-focused services, or activities unrelated to direct animal protection or conservation. Expenses falling outside the animal welfare mission, such as general community work or human services, are not supported.

The Trust welcomes unsolicited applications from eligible organisations. They provide grants of financial assistance to further the charitable work of animal welfare organisations. Funding is made in partnership with frontline charities, blending core operational support with strategic initiatives.
