RSABI

RSABI funds support for individuals and organisations connected to Scottish agriculture who are facing hardship. Their General Support Programme addresses a range of needs, including mental health support, physical wellbeing aid such as disability aids and home adaptations, financial hardship relief covering crisis support and living costs, family support for dependents affected by illness or economic shocks, and employment training for skills development. They have also operated a Flooding Fund to provide emergency assistance to farmers and crofters significantly affected by flooding. All funded work must take place in Scotland.

RSABI supports individuals and registered charities based in Scotland who are connected to Scottish agriculture, including farmers, crofters, foresters, gamekeepers, horticulturists, and rural estate workers, as well as their families and dependents. Priority is given to those facing hardship, such as isolated elderly farmers, crisis-hit working families, and individuals with disabilities or health needs. The charity serves current or past workers in the sector, of all ages, and requires a clear link to Scottish agriculture.

RSABI does not provide support outside the Scottish agricultural sector or to organisations not based in Scotland. They do not fund unrestricted core costs or generalist rural projects that are not linked to agriculture. Support is not available for individuals or groups without a connection to farming, crofting, or land-based occupations.

RSABI provides both general support and emergency assistance, with a focus on person-centred, practical, and emotional aid. They offer one-off payments for crisis support and ongoing living costs, as well as funding for disability aids, home adaptations, and training. The charity welcomes unsolicited applications and works directly with individuals and organisations, emphasising a holistic and dignified approach to support.
