Saddlers' Company Charitable Fund

The main fund supports education and skills, disability, sport and recreation, faith, armed forces, young people, and community development. Specific priorities include disadvantaged youth, the disabled, and members of the armed services. It also supports the saddlery trade, equestrianism, and the craft of saddlery. The Mollie Priestley Fund is directed specifically towards helping members of the armed services who need assistance. The R M Sturdy Trust focuses on Church of England education, including cathedral-based choir schools, the pursuit of musical excellence, and appeals for the preservation of Anglican church fabric. Support can cover core costs, project delivery, training, capital works, and research. The Fund works UK-wide, with a particular interest in the City of London community.

Registered charities working with young people, disabled people, veterans, or the wider community can apply. The Fund prioritises disadvantaged youth, disabled people, members of the armed services, and Church of England education. In addition, the R M Sturdy Trust accepts applications from faith groups associated with the Church of England. The Fund welcomes approaches from charities that align with its priorities, and it also actively seeks out organisations to work with.

The Fund operates through three distinct funds, each with its own charitable focus. The Fund was established with capital provided entirely by donations from the Worshipful Company of Saddlers' corporate funds, and its trustees have wide discretion in using the income.
