Skipton Building Society Charitable Foundation

The Foundation supports charities across the United Kingdom working in the areas of homelessness, domestic abuse, poverty and hardship, and educational disadvantage. It funds a wide range of activities including core costs, project delivery, capital works, equipment, and training. Grants benefit homeless people and the general public. The Foundation focuses on practical, direct interventions that help people secure safe housing and build financial independence. It also supports grassroots charities serving communities in need.

The Foundation funds registered charities based and operating in the United Kingdom. It does not fund individuals or unregistered organisations. Charities must have at least three trustees or directors and must not have more than one year of late reporting to the Charity Commission. The Foundation does not support organisations that discriminate on the basis of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic, nor those that primarily promote political or religious viewpoints. Beneficiaries include homeless people and the general public.

The Foundation does not fund individuals, unregistered charities, or organisations with fewer than three trustees. It also excludes charities with more than one year of late reporting to the Charity Commission. Grants cannot support overseas travel or work that does not have a direct benefit in the UK. The Foundation does not fund organisations that discriminate or primarily promote political or religious viewpoints.
