It funds emergency financial aid for essentials like rent deposits, food, and phones; project grants for unlocking or creating accommodation; and capacity-building via the UK-wide Frontline Network, which fosters sector partnerships in cities like Manchester, Glasgow, and Bristol. Beneficiaries include rough sleepers, those in temporary housing, migrants, women fleeing violence, and people with mental health or addiction challenges, channeled through charities, local authorities, and grassroots groups delivering direct impact, as seen in its London-based Connection day centre and 2024 support for over 7,500 individuals.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities and community groups with annual income under £2 million, operating anywhere in the UK—no religious restrictions. The Access to Accommodation Fund offers up to £100,000 over three years (next deadline: 5pm, 7 November 2025; email application form); Vicar’s Relief Fund provides rolling micro-grants up to £500 per case (online portal for frontline workers, decisions in five days). It excludes core costs or overheads, standing out for its agile, outcomes-driven approach, sector expertise, robust impact monitoring, and role as a homelessness field connector.
