Tresanton Trust

The Trust funds children's welfare initiatives, including health projects and support for children and young people with disabilities who have complex needs. It also supports medical research into childhood illnesses and disabilities, social justice programmes such as restorative mentoring and rehabilitation for young offenders, and poverty relief through community-led aid addressing food insecurity and family stability. On the environmental side, it funds wildlife conservation through habitat restoration and species protection, as well as broader environmental protection and climate resilience work. Supported activities encompass therapeutic mentoring, peer support groups, outreach for isolated families, capacity building for ongoing programme delivery, core costs for organisational stability, and unrestricted aid enabling strategic development. The Trust prioritises preventative, trauma-informed, and community-empowered interventions that create measurable, long-term outcomes. All funding is directed to organisations operating throughout England and Wales.

The Trust only accepts applications from registered charities. It prioritises organisations working with children and young people aged 5–19, disabled individuals, families in poverty, care-experienced youth, and those involved in the justice system. The Trust seeks grassroots and specialist charities with evidence-based practices and lived-experience insights. It values organisations that demonstrate a commitment to holistic welfare, justice, and ecological stewardship. Unsolicited applications are welcomed.

The Trust does not fund short-term projects, one-off interventions, large capital builds, or causes that lack potential for sustained impact. It also does not support activities that are misaligned with its focus on long-term, evidence-informed change, such as non-charitable purposes or organisations that cannot demonstrate a clear alignment with its mission.

The Trust makes multi-year commitments to a curated portfolio of charities, favouring long-term partnerships over volume. It supports core costs, organisational stability, and unrestricted aid, enabling strategic development. The Trust operates a trustee-led discretionary model and welcomes unsolicited applications. Its funding is relationship-based, with an emphasis on continuity and deep-rooted change.
