Uli Charitable Trust

The Trust's funding priorities span urban decarbonisation, housing attainability, educational and training programmes, conservation, heritage preservation, economic and community development, research, and thought leadership. It supports project and programme costs, capacity building, and sponsorship, emphasising collaborative, evidence-led interventions that address urban resilience, social equity, and professional development. Work is confined to the UK, with a particular focus on England and Wales, and the Trust actively uses ULI's international network to foster cross-sector partnerships.

Eligible organisations include UK-registered charities, academic institutions, and voluntary bodies operating in England and Wales. Occasionally, individuals may also be supported. The Trust typically works with medium-to-large organisations that have proven governance, sector expertise, and the capacity to drive systemic change. There are no income thresholds, but applicants should align with the Trust's focus on sustainability, diversity, and evidence-led practice.

The Trust does not fund core or unrestricted costs, emergency relief, or work outside the United Kingdom. It also does not support activities that fall outside its thematic priorities of urban decarbonisation, housing, education, conservation, and community development.

The Trust provides project and programme grants, capacity building support, research funding, and sponsorship. It prefers to engage through its networks rather than accept unsolicited applications, leveraging ULI's international network for cross-sector partnerships.
