Ursula Keyes Trust

The Trust funds health initiatives, medical research, support for children and young people, elderly, people with disabilities and community projects. It also supports cultural, leisure and sports activities. The kinds of work funded include capital infrastructure such as playgrounds, residential facilities, inclusive youth programmes, neurological therapies and sustainability improvements. Grants focus on capital and equipment. The Trust primarily supports organisations in Chester and the surrounding Cheshire areas, specifically the area formerly administered by Chester District Council. National charities may be considered if they can demonstrate local links to Chester.

The Trust funds UK-registered charities, community groups, academic institutions, schools, hospices and disability organisations. It supports organisations serving vulnerable groups including children and young people, elderly and people with disabilities. The Trust has no income thresholds and supports organisations of all sizes, from small community efforts to larger capital needs. There is no religious restriction on applicants. Organisations must serve the Chester and Cheshire area, with national charities needing to demonstrate local links.

The Trust makes grants for capital and equipment rather than ongoing core costs. It prioritises projects with strong community backing, matched funding and clear local benefit. Unsolicited applications are welcomed.
