Wakefield and Tetley Trust

The Trust funds diverse charitable work by grassroots organisations, including social welfare, outreach for rough sleepers and youth, arts and heritage projects, small-scale health interventions, education, and services tackling isolation among older people, families in poverty, and marginalised groups. Grants cover both project costs and core expenses such as staff salaries and rent. Over 70% of activities must serve the Trust's geographic patch of Tower Hamlets, Southwark, and the City of London, ensuring that funding benefits local residents directly.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities and constituted community groups working at grassroots level. The Trust prioritises organisations serving Tower Hamlets, Southwark, or the City of London, with over 70% of their activities focused on these areas. Beneficiaries include older people, families in poverty, rough sleepers, youth, and other marginalised groups. The Trust welcomes unsolicited applications and is open to both faith-based and secular organisations.

The Trust does not fund capital projects, grants to individuals, or repeat funding for the same project in the same grant round. Applications for these purposes are not considered.
