Wembley National Stadium Trust

The Trust funds projects in sport, movement and performing arts, with a particular emphasis on youth development, disability inclusion and arts and culture. It supports grassroots investment and stadium access across the London Borough of Brent, where it provides anchor grants to local clubs, schools and groups. Nationally, it funds multi-year sports and performing arts programmes in Euro host cities including Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and London. Through its Targeted Fund, it tackles inequalities in access to sport, movement and the performing arts for children and young people facing barriers related to disability, gender, race or socio-economic disadvantage. The Trust also supports mental health initiatives, disability football, girls' football and elder wellbeing activities.

Registered charities and community groups based in the London Borough of Brent can apply for local grants. Nationally, the Trust works with organisations that deliver programmes for children, young people, disabled people and ethnic minority communities. It prioritises community-led initiatives that benefit those facing barriers to participation. There is no religious restriction. The Trust welcomes applications from grassroots organisations with strong local roots, particularly those serving Brent communities.

The Trust does not fund projects outside sport, movement or performing arts. It also excludes large capital works. Specific exclusions beyond these are not publicly documented.

The Trust offers multi-year funding for strategic programmes such as the Host Cities Fund. Local grants in Brent are delivered through expert local partners rather than directly. National strategic awards are invitation-only. The Trust combines unrestricted local support with strategic partnerships to achieve inclusive sport and performing arts outcomes.
