Yapp Charitable Trust

The Trust funds five thematic priorities: elderly people; children and young people aged 5–25; those with physical impairments, learning difficulties, or mental health challenges; social welfare for overcoming non-medical issues like addiction, abuse, offending, or relationship breakdowns; and education for the educationally disadvantaged. Support targets established activities running for at least a year, focusing on core costs such as running costs and salaries across England and Wales.

Eligible applicants are small registered charities and community groups physically based in England or Wales, operating for at least three years. The Trust prioritises grassroots organisations that deliver direct, ongoing services to disadvantaged or excluded groups, with a strong volunteer ethos and a focus on stability.

The Trust does not support new projects, capital items, one-off activities, larger charities, or work outside its five thematic priorities. It also excludes organisations not meeting its eligibility criteria or those without at least one year of established activity.

The Yapp Charitable Trust provides core cost funding exclusively, prioritising running costs and salaries over project-based aid. It supports multi-year grants and welcomes unsolicited approaches, with funding decisions made by its trustees.
