Young Camden Foundation

The Foundation funds youth work, play provision, mental health and wellbeing, supplementary education in English, Maths and Science, employability and skills, and holiday activities. Support is available for both core costs and project delivery, including salaries, equipment, training, and transport. All funded work must take place in the London Borough of Camden and benefit local children and young people. The Foundation gives priority to organisations that are registered in and deliver to Camden, with a focus on grassroots groups and supplementary schools and out-of-school settings, particularly those working towards the NRCSE Quality Mark.

Eligible applicants are registered charities, community groups, social enterprises, community benefit societies, and schools that are members of the Young Camden Foundation. Membership is free and open to organisations based in Camden and delivering to children and young people in the borough. Priority is given to small and micro organisations with modest incomes. The Foundation does not fund CICs limited by shares. Beneficiaries must be children and young people living or attending school in Camden.

The Foundation does not fund CICs limited by shares, or organisations with annual turnover above a threshold it specifies. It also excludes political or religious purposes, and will not support activities that duplicate funding already received from Camden Council or other sources. For the Supplementary Education Fund, events and transport costs are not covered.

The Foundation offers grants for a single year, typically supporting core costs and project delivery. It welcomes unsolicited applications from its member organisations. Funding is distributed through targeted programmes that vary by theme, such as the Small & Mighty Fund and Supplementary Education Fund. The Foundation does not provide multi-year grants.
