Anguish's Educational Foundation

The Foundation supports education and skills development for young people under 25. Grants to individuals can cover equipment, training, events, and transport. Organisational grants fund project delivery and core costs, with priorities including projects that increase access to education, promote international links between young people, and encourage participation in arts, culture, science, and technology. Work must benefit young people living in the City of Norwich and the parishes of Costessey, Hellesdon, Catton, Sprowston, Thorpe St. Andrew, and Corpusty.

Both individuals and organisations can apply. Individuals must be under 25 and in financial need, living in the City of Norwich or the specified parishes. Organisations such as registered charities, schools, and community groups can apply for grants supporting young people in the same area. The Foundation is particularly keen to fund work that enables long-term positive change and where a grant would make a significant difference.

The Foundation does not fund postgraduate courses, school wear for children at sixth form, or equipment or clothing for trips, expeditions, or Jamborees. For organisational grants, it does not support work where the majority is based outside Norfolk, or where a multi-annual grant would only prop up the organisation without leading to long-term sustainability.

The Foundation offers one-off grants to individuals and organisations, as well as multi-annual funding for core costs in a separate round. It welcomes unsolicited applications and does not require match funding. Grants are made to support both project delivery and core costs, with a focus on making a significant difference to the organisation or individual.
