Eligible organisations must be registered charities with a Christian foundation.

The Ashburnham Thanksgiving Trust does not fund individuals, non-registered groups, or capital projects. This means it does not make grants to individuals for personal support, nor to organisations that are not registered charities in England and Wales. Capital projects, such as buildings or major construction, are also excluded from its funding.
