Funding is available UK-wide with no regional bias, focusing on activities that address workforce gaps and nurture talent, from grassroots efforts to major employers.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities, along with companies, community groups, and individuals working in the British apparel and textile manufacturing sector. The trust has no income thresholds or size restrictions, welcoming small grassroots efforts and major employers alike. Applicants must demonstrate that their activities directly enhance UK fashion and textile skills. The trust supports people at all career stages, from newcomers to experienced professionals, and operates without religious restrictions.

The trust does not fund activities outside the British apparel and textile manufacturing sector. It also excludes unrestricted or core funding, infrastructure projects, and capital projects, focusing instead on project-based skills development. Examples of excluded costs include general operating expenses, building works, and major equipment purchases.
