Cooks Charity

The Main Grant Programme supports project delivery, training, and core costs across England and Wales, funding causes such as education and skills, employment, community development, and poverty hardship. The Elizabeth Fund provides small, one-off grants for project delivery and equipment in the City of London and its fringe boroughs: Camden, Islington, Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Southwark, and Westminster. This fund focuses on community development, education and skills, poverty hardship, and health, benefiting children, young people, refugees, disabled people, and the general public. Both programmes prioritise direct impact and community benefit, with the Main Grant Programme also supporting young people and unemployed individuals.

Registered charities, community groups, and schools can apply to the Cooks Charity. The Main Grant Programme is open to organisations across England and Wales, while the Elizabeth Fund is specifically for those operating in the City of London and its fringe boroughs. The Elizabeth Fund prioritises children, young people, refugees, disabled people, and the wider community. There is no religious restriction for applicants. The charity welcomes unsolicited applications via email for both programmes.

The Elizabeth Fund cannot replace government or local authority funding, and does not support core costs or capital works. The Main Grant Programme has no such restrictions, but both programmes focus on direct impact and community benefit rather than large-scale infrastructure or statutory replacement.

The Cooks Charity offers two types of grants: the Main Grant Programme provides funding for project delivery, training, and core costs, with no maximum grant amount and no match funding requirement. The Elizabeth Fund provides small, one-off grants for project delivery and equipment. Both programmes accept unsolicited applications via email on a rolling basis. The charity does not require match funding for either programme.
