February Foundation

The Foundation's grant-making centres on end-of-life care, particularly hospice and hospice-at-home services, as its primary focus since 2006. Beyond this, it funds work that relieves need due to youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. It supports charities that empower individuals making an effort to improve their lives, care for those physically or mentally unable to help themselves, and deliver long-term impact on individuals or communities. The range of causes funded includes physical health, children and youth, older people, disability, poverty and hardship, education and skills, arts, culture, and heritage. Both core costs and project delivery costs are supported, and the Foundation operates across the UK.

Only registered charities in the UK are eligible to apply. The Foundation's beneficiaries include young people, older people, disabled people, the unemployed, and the general public. Priority is given to charities that relieve need, empower individuals, care for those unable to help themselves, and demonstrate long-term impact. There is no restriction on religious context, and the Foundation welcomes unsolicited applications. Charities should be prepared to show how their work aligns with these priorities.

The Foundation does not fund capital works, including hospice building projects and other capital expenditures. It also does not support individuals or applications from non-registered charities.

The February Foundation funds both core costs and project delivery, and operates a rolling grant programme. It welcomes unsolicited applications from eligible charities. Grants are single-year, and the Foundation places a strong emphasis on end-of-life care within its broader portfolio of social impact.
