Gibbons Family Trust

The Trust funds education, training, recreation, and general welfare for children and young people, including residential or day care for disabled children. Supported activities include after-school clubs, sports, creative arts, outdoor recreation, mental health programmes, peer support, disability inclusion, direct hardship relief, and employability training. Grants cover project delivery, equipment, training, events, and core costs. Work must take place in Devon (with a strong preference for East Devon), the Isle of Thanet, or Kent.

Registered charities, schools, community groups, and social enterprises can apply. The Trust also supports referred individuals. Beneficiaries are children and young people up to 25, particularly those facing disadvantage, hardship, or barriers, including disabled children. There is a strong preference for small local charities and applicants based in East Devon.

The Gibbons Family Trust does not fund private school fees. Its grants are directed instead toward community-based activities, equipment, training, and core costs for organisations supporting disadvantaged children and young people. This exclusion reflects the Trust's focus on grassroots and accessible provision rather than private education costs.

The Trust makes one-off grants and welcomes unsolicited applications. It funds both core costs and project costs. For individuals, it works through relational referrals. The Trust values evidence of immediate local impact and person-centred, community-embedded delivery.
