Guildford Lions Club (CIO)

The club funds causes that benefit the Guildford community, with a focus on food security, youth development, health and disability, social welfare, community safety, and arts and culture. They support work that helps children, young people, older people, disabled people, homeless people, veterans, and the general public. The majority of their funds are used locally in the Guildford area. This includes initiatives that address everyday needs, from providing food and improving wellbeing to fostering community safety and cultural participation.

UK-registered charities, community groups, schools, and other voluntary organisations can apply. The club prioritises small, grassroots organisations that demonstrably serve Guildford and its immediate surrounding area. Applicants should have a local focus; large national charities are unlikely to be funded unless they have a specific and strong local presence in Guildford.

The club does not fund political or religious activities. Grants are restricted to organisations serving the Guildford area, so work outside this geographic scope is not supported.

The club makes grants on a rolling basis and welcomes unsolicited applications. They take a flexible, responsive approach, providing practical support for local needs. Grants are typically one-off, but they are open to discussing the nature of support with applicants.
