H&F Giving

H&F Giving supports grassroots work across Hammersmith and Fulham in community development, health (including mental and physical health), children and young people, education and skills, employment, arts and culture, and the environment. Through dedicated programmes it addresses the digital divide by funding device provision and digital skills training, and supports households with food, fuel and essential living costs during winter months. The Earls Court Community Fund prioritises Communities and People, Health and Wellbeing, and Young People and Training within the Earls Court opportunity area. All funding is for projects that directly benefit residents of the borough.

The Trust welcomes applications from grassroots organisations based or operating in Hammersmith and Fulham, including unincorporated associations, community groups, registered charities, schools, CICs, CIOs and faith groups. Beneficiaries prioritised include children and young people, older people, disabled people, homeless people, LGBTQ+ communities and ethnic minority groups. There is no religious restriction and no income threshold; unsolicited applications are accepted. Organisations should have a local track record of supporting residents.

H&F Giving does not fund grants to individuals, expenditure or activities that have already taken place, services that are a statutory responsibility, or religious or political activities unless the group provides wider community benefit. It also excludes projects with no community or charitable element, activities benefiting individuals rather than the wider community, foreign travel, and provision already funded by other LBHF Council grants. The Earls Court Fund additionally excludes projects outside the Earls Court opportunity area unless a majority of beneficiaries are from the area.

H&F Giving offers one-off project grants (typically for up to 12 months) through periodic funding rounds. It favours flexible, participatory funding and uses resident-led panels to allocate grants. The Trust welcomes unsolicited applications and focuses on supporting small, local groups tackling specific community needs described in each programme.
