Housing Pathways Trust

They fund work that addresses poverty, disability, domestic abuse, employment, education and skills, community development, mental and physical health, homelessness, and support for older people, children and youth. Specific themes include promoting healthy living and nutrition, providing for those on low incomes, overcoming isolation, tackling homelessness, supporting survivors of domestic violence, assisting disadvantaged people to access appropriate services, improving emotional and physical health, and providing counselling and support services. They also fund a wide range of work in response to local demand through their Grass Roots Programme. All funded activities must take place in Ealing or Brentford. Costs supported include project delivery, core costs, equipment, salaries, training, and feasibility studies.

Registered charities, CIOs, CICs, community groups, social enterprises, and CLGs based in Ealing or Brentford can apply. They prioritise organisations that strengthen the local voluntary and community sector and serve disadvantaged groups including young people, older people, women, homeless people, disabled people, unemployed individuals, and carers. The Trust also assists older residents in Ealing, Brentford, London, and Kent who are experiencing financial hardship through their Resident Welfare Fund. Individuals can apply for this fund, but not for other programmes. Organisations with more than six months of free reserves are not eligible.

They do not fund faith organisations, animal charities, capital works, events, transport, or organisations with more than six months of free reserves. Statutory or public authorities, schools, police forces, regional or local offices of national organisations, commercial ventures, and organisations providing party political or religious activities are excluded. They also do not fund organisations receiving grant funding from Pathways, debts or loans, or rapid response to emergency situations. The Grass Roots Programme excludes services to asylum seeker groups inconsistent with immigration laws or Home Office policy.

Grants are allocated once a year and are normally given within a set size range. They do not offer multi-year funding. The Trust welcomes unsolicited applications and supports both project delivery and core costs.
