Molly Olly's Wishes is a UK-registered charity founded in 2011 by Rachel and Tim Ollerenshaw, inspired by their daughter Molly's battle with Wilms tumour and her passing, to alleviate emotional and financial hardships for children aged 0-18 facing terminal or life-limiting illnesses. Rooted in empathy, compassion, and a commitment to enhancing wellbeing during crises, the charity grants personalised wishes, distributes over 13,000 Olly the Brave therapeutic toy lion packs with storybooks to more than 70 UK hospitals, and provides tailored support like sensory equipment, electronic devices, memorable experiences, and practical resources. Its distinctive approach blends direct family aid with NHS partnerships, prioritising psychological resilience and family isolation relief, especially for paediatric cancer and rare conditions.

The charity funds child-focused interventions that brighten medical journeys, including toys, technology, therapeutic aids, and bespoke events, responding to applications from individuals, families, or healthcare professionals UK-wide with no geographic or organisational restrictions. There are no income thresholds or entity requirements, welcoming unsolicited requests verified by medical letters.

Applications use the Wish Application Form (January 2025 version), emailed to wishes@mollyolly.co.uk or posted, on a rolling basis with decisions typically within weeks. Typical grants average £500, capping at £500 per child. It excludes general core costs, capital projects, or research, standing out through founder-driven personalisation, rapid response, and a narrative tied to Molly's legacy for profound, immediate impact.
