NABS (National Advertising Benevolent Society) is an independent UK charity founded more than a century ago, dedicated to supporting individuals working in advertising, media, marketing services and their associated supplier industries. Its mission is to advance mental wellness and professional resilience in a high-pressure sector, guided by values of compassion, empowerment, respect, integrity, empathy, confidentiality and inclusiveness. NABS acts as the industry's safety net, taking a preventative, holistic and person-centred approach that aims to stop crises before they develop and build long-term sector sustainability. It combines psychological, financial and developmental support into one integrated service, delivered UK-wide to current and former professionals at all career stages, including freelancers, interns and the self-employed.

What Nabs funds

NABS prioritises mental health, career transitions, financial hardship, redundancy, parental support and professional development. Its support includes a free 1:1 advice line, therapy and counselling grants, financial aid, upskilling workshops, mentoring, business training, events and peer support. All services are delivered UK-wide to individuals with substantial experience in advertising, media, marketing services or associated supplier industries. The charity focuses on individual interventions rather than organisational activity, covering costs such as counselling fees, living expenses during hardship, and career development resources tailored to each person's circumstances.
