The foundation funds local community organisations delivering programmes in education, employment, community engagement, physical and mental wellbeing, reducing serious youth violence, and character development. Supported activities include Flag football sessions, mentoring, training, equipment provision, and skills-building initiatives. The foundation focuses on young people from diverse ethnic backgrounds and places significant emphasis on female participation. Geographically, it prioritises underserved communities nationwide, with particular focus on London, Birmingham, Greater Manchester, and Leeds. The foundation also supports initiatives that connect young people with leaders from business, political, and voluntary sectors through events such as Youth Summits.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities and community groups, particularly grassroots and small-to-medium-sized organisations with a proven track record in sport-based delivery. The foundation supports local community organisations that work directly with young people aged 11 to 20 from underserved communities. It prioritises groups that engage young people from diverse ethnic backgrounds and those that promote significant female involvement. There are no strict income thresholds, but the foundation favours local operators in its priority areas. Large national charities are not funded.
