Peter Cruddas Foundation

The foundation supports at-risk youth facing barriers such as economic disadvantage, school exclusion, lack of social capital, or criminal justice involvement. Priority areas include mentoring, skills and employability programmes, work experience for ages 16-30, and preventative youth work, particularly evening and diversionary activities. It backs initiatives tackling NEET young people, ex-offenders, and care leavers. While the foundation maintains a strong London focus, it operates across England and Wales without further geographic sub-restrictions. Funding covers project costs, core costs, and multi-year revenue, with an emphasis on capacity-building and long-term partnerships.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities based in England and Wales. The foundation prioritises small to medium-sized organisations with a strong track record and clear outcomes. It targets charities working directly with disengaged and disadvantaged young people aged 14-30, especially those facing economic disadvantage, school exclusion, lack of social capital, or criminal justice involvement. Applications are by invitation only; unsolicited applications are not accepted.

The foundation does not fund capital projects or individuals. Support is limited to charitable organisations, and no funding is provided for activities outside England and Wales or outside the specified age range and focus on youth employability.
