Pharmacist Support is an independent UK charity founded in 1841 by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, evolving through a 2008 rebrand and 2015 incorporation as a charitable company limited by guarantee. Dedicated exclusively to the wellbeing of pharmacists, former pharmacists, trainees, pharmacy students, and their dependants across England, Scotland, and Wales, its mission ensures no one in the pharmacy family faces challenges alone. Guided by values of people-first empathy, empowerment, positivity, and fairness, it employs a consultative, needs-led approach informed by sector research, stakeholder engagement, and a trustee board of pharmacists and lay experts. It funds direct individual support for mental health, financial hardship, addiction recovery, resilience building, and pastoral care through financial grants for essentials, funded counselling sessions, addiction services, peer support, the Wardley Wellbeing Service, ACTNow campaigns, workshops, and digital resources. Beneficiaries must be eligible pharmacy family members in vulnerability due to illness, disability, bereavement, or distress—no organisational funding or project grants.

Eligibility is strictly for individuals (not charities or groups), UK-wide in Great Britain with no income thresholds, religious restrictions, or size limits; proof of status and need is required. Applications via secure online form or phone are accepted rolling with decisions in weeks, prioritising urgency; typical grants range £200–£2,500 as one-off hardship payments or service funding. Exclusions include all organisational support, capital, core costs, or non-UK applicants, underscoring its laser-focused, individual-centric model with proactive evolution per its 2025–2029 strategy.
