Rotary Club of Grantham Trust Fund

The Trust funds a diverse range of general charitable initiatives. Priority areas include poverty relief, emergency humanitarian support, health and social care, education, youth work, disability services, community resilience projects, and voluntary sector activities. Grants typically support organisations delivering front-line relief or community benefits for local residents, the general public, and those in hardship. Overseas famine relief, aligned with Rotary's international focus, is also supported. Geographically, the Trust focuses on Grantham and the surrounding Lincolnshire area, with occasional funding for global humanitarian causes.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities and community groups based strictly in Grantham and Lincolnshire. The Trust shows a preference for smaller, volunteer-led, grassroots entities. There are no religious restrictions on applicants. Beneficiaries of funded projects are typically local residents, the general public, and individuals experiencing hardship. The Trust seeks to support organisations that are deeply embedded in the local community.

The Trust does not fund statutory bodies such as local authorities or government agencies. It also avoids supporting causes outside Grantham and Lincolnshire, except for occasional humanitarian emergencies overseas.

The Trust favours project-based or emergency support over core funding. It works by invitation and does not accept unsolicited applications, with funding directed through a member-nominated process that ensures grants are responsive to local needs.
