Savoy Educational Trust

The Trust funds projects that advance hospitality education and training across the United Kingdom. Supported activities include project delivery, capital works, equipment purchases, training programmes, and salaries. Priorities include inspiring participation in hospitality careers, supporting innovation in education and training delivery, and promoting professional development. The Trust also supports initiatives that foster a culture of excellence and recognition in the sector. Beneficiaries include young people and the general public, with a focus on building a skilled workforce for hospitality.

Eligible organisations include state schools, public sector colleges, sixth form colleges, not-for-profit universities, registered charities, charitable incorporated organisations, social enterprises, community interest companies, and companies limited by guarantee. Applicants must be based in the United Kingdom and operate on a not-for-profit basis. The Trust does not fund individuals or faith groups. Projects should demonstrably serve the hospitality sector and benefit young people or the general public.

The Trust does not fund core costs, research, feasibility studies, or emergency appeals. Other exclusions include overseas projects, endowment appeals, retrospective funding, and projects where the Trust would be the sole funder. Generic or mass mailing fundraising appeals are also not supported.

The Trust considers multi-year grants of up to three years and requires match funding from applicants. Unsolicited applications are welcome from eligible organisations. Grants are awarded for project delivery, capital works, equipment, training, and salaries.
