Sir Graham Wylie Foundation

The Foundation funds a wide range of activities including capital works, equipment, salaries, and project delivery. Their cause areas are health, education, disability, and mental health, with a focus on children and young people. All funded work must take place within the North East region, covering areas such as Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham, North and South Tyneside, Northumberland, Hartlepool, Darlington, and Middlesbrough. They support interventions that address childhood health challenges, disability support, education initiatives, and wellbeing enhancements.

Registered charities and community groups based in North East England are eligible to apply. The Foundation prioritises organisations serving disadvantaged children and young people. Applicants must ensure their work takes place within the North East region. There is no religious restriction. The Foundation favours grassroots charities with evidence-based, sustainable approaches to improving young lives.

The Foundation does not fund individuals or projects that take place outside the North East of England. They also do not support initiatives that lack a direct benefit to children and young people.
