St Saviours Medical Charity

The Charity funds health-related causes exclusively. For individuals, it provides grants for surgical or medical treatments, with medical necessity and financial hardship as core criteria. For institutions that deliver medical care, it supports the purchase of equipment and services that enhance their work. All grants are restricted to the Folkestone & Hythe Local Authority area, and the Charity does not fund treatments or activities outside the scope of surgical or medical procedures. This focused remit ensures resources are directed toward clinical interventions that directly alleviate suffering and improve wellbeing within the community.

Individuals who reside in the Folkestone & Hythe Local Authority area and can demonstrate medical need and financial hardship are eligible to apply. Local institutions that provide medical care, such as clinics or hospices, can also apply for grants to purchase equipment or services. There is no religious restriction for applicants. The Charity considers applications from both individuals and organisations, provided they operate within the defined geographical boundary and meet the medical necessity criteria.

The Charity does not fund treatments that do not involve surgical or medical procedures, nor does it support non-medical charitable activities. Grants are not available for applicants living outside the Folkestone & Hythe Local Authority area. Additionally, the Charity does not provide funding for ongoing operational costs or general charitable purposes unrelated to direct medical care.

The Charity provides non-repayable grants, which may be full or partial, for specific medical treatments for individuals and equipment or services for institutions. Decisions are based on medical necessity and financial hardship, as assessed against the Charity’s published criteria. All funding is directed exclusively to the Folkestone & Hythe Local Authority area, and the Charity accepts unsolicited applications from eligible parties.
