All funding must directly benefit people within Stratford-upon-Avon town boundaries, ensuring every grant has a hyper-local impact. Community groups, registered charities, and Community Interest Companies limited by guarantee can apply for grants. The Trust also offers a separate programme for individuals. All applicants must demonstrate that their work supports people who live, work, or study in Stratford-upon-Avon. There are no income thresholds, making the fund accessible to grassroots and mid-sized organisations alike.

The Trust does not fund activities that take place outside Stratford-upon-Avon town boundaries or that do not primarily serve local residents, workers, or students. It also excludes projects that do not align with its mission to enhance quality of life within the town.
