The Vinehill Trust

The Trust supports three main areas. In music, it funds choral and organ traditions through schools, cathedrals, youth programmes, community initiatives, and instrument restoration. In heritage, it supports restoration of historic buildings, including 20th-century architecture, alongside training in traditional crafts such as carving, thatching, and tile work to sustain conservation skills. In health, it focuses on innovative early-intervention and prevention for marginalised groups, addressing overlooked issues through research and community delivery. Grants support specific projects, from flagship national programmes to local health equity efforts, across the UK.

Eligible applicants include UK-registered charities, community interest companies, schools, faith groups, academic institutions, and ecclesiastical bodies. The Trust prioritises organisations that are well-governed, financially robust, and demonstrably expert in their field. It seeks to support groups working with marginalised communities, particularly in health, and those preserving cultural assets in heritage and music. There is no religious restriction, and faith-based organisations are welcome to apply.

The Trust does not fund unrestricted core costs, endowments, new-build capital projects, lobbying activities, or routine emergencies. It focuses on project-specific grants rather than general operating support.

The Trust provides project grants for specific initiatives, funding the direct costs of the work. It welcomes unsolicited applications and operates with a lean, stewardship-focused approach, aiming to channel maximum resources into high-impact charitable projects.
