Thirty Percy Foundation

Thirty Percy Foundation, an independent UK charitable foundation established in 2018 from the Skagen Foundation, drives transformative systemic change by reimagining wealth, power, and resource distribution to dismantle inequality and foster justice, regeneration, care, equity, and collective wellbeing for people and planet. Rooted in values of integrity, care, courage, and reflective learning—centring Black feminist principles, decolonised practices, and feminine leadership—it commits to spending out by 2030, modelling new economies beyond traditional philanthropy through bold, experimental, relational grant-making, interdependent investments as "future-making," and open-sourced learnings via initiatives like Project Inside Out.

It prioritises individual changemakers—activists, artists, social justice practitioners, and thinkers from marginalised communities—creating alternative systems, liberated freedoms, and new knowledge, alongside organisations and collectives advancing economic rebalancing, food security, youth and agricultural mental health, and resilient local communities. Notable examples include its Gloucestershire place-based programme supporting 13 organisations and a changemaker in youth and food initiatives, with emphasis on grassroots innovators challenging conventional models through national and international networks.

Eligible applicants are UK-registered charities and community groups of any size or income, with no geographic restrictions but a focus on UK-wide and deep place-based work; it uniquely supports individuals via fiscal hosting. Unsolicited applications are not accepted—opportunities arise via networks, advisors, or enquiry spaces, with a two-stage due diligence process and decisions at quarterly trustee meetings. Typical multi-year, unrestricted grants range from £70,000 to £150,000, offering project, core costs, and strategic support; it excludes traditional entities lacking systemic ambition, favouring flexible, care-centred transformative efforts.
