Tickhill & District Lions Club (CIO)

The Club funds a broad, generalist range of causes, including poverty relief through food banks, education and extracurricular activities in schools, equipment for Scouts, Guides, and sports clubs, health and disability support, and aid for vulnerable groups such as children, elderly, and disabled residents. Grants can support projects, core costs, emergencies, capital items, and one-off individual hardships. The focus is on small-scale, urgent needs that are overlooked by larger funders. Geographically, grants benefit communities in Tickhill, Rossington, Wadworth, Bawtry, Harworth, Bircotes, and Styrrup, across South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire. The Club prioritises tangible, immediate impact, whether sustaining local services or catalysing new initiatives, without restricting itself to thematic silos.

Unsolicited applications are welcomed from local grassroots groups, registered charities, community groups, schools, and sports clubs, as well as individuals. The Club serves residents and organisations within the defined district of Tickhill, Rossington, Wadworth, Bawtry, Harworth, Bircotes, and Styrrup. Beneficiary groups include children, elderly people, disabled residents, and those facing poverty or hardship. There are no religious restrictions. Applicants should have modest incomes and a clear local focus; larger national entities are only eligible if they have direct local links.
