Tim Henman Foundation

The Foundation supports work across several cause areas: children and youth, sport and recreation, education and skills, mental health, physical health, disability, and poverty and hardship. This includes projects that use sport to improve physical and mental health, educational initiatives that build skills and aspiration, and services addressing disability or financial hardship. Grants are available to organisations operating across England and Wales, with a particular emphasis on those based in areas of deprivation. The Foundation prioritises projects that demonstrate a high level of need and can clearly show benefits to young people and the wider community.

Registered charities, schools, community interest companies (CICs), and companies limited by guarantee (CLGs) based in England and Wales are eligible to apply. The Foundation prioritises organisations that serve profoundly disadvantaged young people and are based in areas of deprivation. It looks for projects that demonstrate a high level of need and clear benefits to both young people and the wider community. Individuals are not eligible for funding.

The Foundation does not fund individuals or organisations based outside England and Wales. It also does not support projects that do not demonstrate a high level of need or that fail to show clear benefits to young people and the wider community.

The Foundation makes one-off grants, with no requirement for match funding. It welcomes unsolicited applications from eligible organisations, prioritising those that serve profoundly disadvantaged young people in areas of deprivation. The funding style is project-based, focusing on clear benefits to young people and the wider community.
