Arsenal Foundation

The Foundation supports structured projects that address social exclusion and build confidence, resilience and belonging among at-risk youth. Priority areas include grassroots football programmes, school-based literacy and numeracy initiatives, mentoring, leadership development, inclusive sports and community facility regeneration. The work promotes mental wellbeing, reduces youth violence, fosters employability skills, supports disability inclusion and alleviates poverty. Geographically, the Foundation concentrates on beneficiaries in Islington, Camden and Hackney, while extending its reach nationally and internationally through partner organisations such as Save the Children and Ambitious about Autism.

Eligible organisations are UK-registered charities and community groups, with a preference for small-to-medium grassroots bodies deeply embedded in local communities. There is no religious restriction. The Foundation prioritises organisations working with young people and disadvantaged communities, particularly those at risk of social exclusion. Alignment with youth, sport and social inclusion is essential. However, the Foundation operates an invite-only process and does not accept unsolicited applications; charities are typically approached through existing relationships or referrals.

The Foundation does not fund unrestricted grants, emergency aid, or general operating costs. All funding is project-specific. It also does not accept unsolicited applications, so only organisations that are approached or referred can receive support.
