Dormywood Trust

The Trust prioritises four targeted themes: relieving food poverty, tackling male violence against women and girls, environmental conservation and innovation, and arts-based creativity fostering positive outcomes for children and young people. Examples include clean water access, women-led services and onward grants, habitat restoration, and arts programmes for youth. Grants support projects, core costs, capacity building, seed funding, unrestricted support, and onward granting through partners, emphasising direct services, innovation, and collaboration. The Trust operates principally in England and Wales but is open to UK-wide or thematic international work.

Eligible entities are UK-registered organisations, primarily grassroots and small- to medium-sized charities. Beneficiaries include children, youth, women and girls, people with disabilities, ethnic minorities, the elderly, and the general public. The Trust favours organisations with a local or community focus and a track record of practical delivery. It does not fund individuals. The Trust’s invitation-only approach means it proactively seeks out aligned charities rather than accepting speculative approaches.

The Trust does not accept unsolicited applications or speculative approaches. It also does not fund activities that fall outside its four priority themes or that are not aligned with its values of empowerment, safety, wellbeing, and social justice. Organisations that are not UK-registered charities are not eligible.
