Dr Edwards and Bishop King's Fulham Charity

The charity funds three main areas. Relief in Need grants provide essential items of daily living, including kitchen appliances, furniture and flooring, for individuals and families on low incomes. Holiday Schemes support summer play schemes for local children who would not otherwise enjoy a break. The Organisations programme funds registered charities and community groups for core costs, equipment and project delivery, all within the old Metropolitan Borough of Fulham.

Applications are open to individuals and families on low incomes (typically receiving state benefits) living within the old Metropolitan Borough of Fulham. Registered charities and community groups operating in the same area can also apply. The charity does not normally help homeowners or those outside its area of benefit. Organisations with large reserves or those not exploring other funding options are unlikely to be supported.

The charity does not give cash grants directly to individuals (unless administered by an agency). It does not fund retrospective costs, utility arrears, funerals, wheelchairs, electric scooters, or computer equipment (unless the applicant is housebound). Items that government or other agencies are required to provide by law are excluded, as are dishwashers without a medical need. General funding appeals and multi-year grants are not supported.

The charity makes one-off grants for specific needs or projects. It does not require match funding. Unsolicited applications are welcome, and all grants are restricted to the Fulham area. The charity does not provide multi-year funding.
