Priority is given to clubs actively engaged in ECB programmes such as All Stars, Dynamos, Women’s and Girls’ Cricket, and Disability Cricket. Beneficiaries include children, young people, women, disabled people, and the wider community. All funded projects must take place in England or Wales and demonstrate broad community benefit.
Who can apply
ECB-affiliated cricket clubs based in England and Wales are eligible to apply. The Trust prioritises clubs that are actively involved in ECB participation programmes. County Grounds Associations are not eligible for the interest-free loan schemes. There is no religious restriction, and no income threshold is specified for applicants.
What England and Wales Cricket Trust doesn't fund
The Trust does not fund large-scale pavilion and communal changing facility projects, coaching items such as equipment or bowling machines, audio visual equipment, indoor facilities, or legal and professional fees. Retrospective funding is not available, nor are projects already funded by the Trust or ECB. Repeat loan applications for replacement of the same non-turf practice area are excluded, and a second loan cannot be applied for within 12 months of accepting a first loan.

The Trust offers both grants and interest-free loans for capital projects. Grants are one-off, while loans require a minimum of 10% partnership funding from the applicant.
