The Foundation's funding centres on three pillars: combating abuse and advancing equal rights through policy reform, grassroots services, healthcare, and education; harnessing sport and music to empower youth, especially girls; and leveraging art for education, rehabilitation, and survivor recovery. Specific areas of focus include violence against women and girls, justice systems, financial gender equity, and women's sport and art. The Foundation supports innovative charities, coalitions, and grassroots-to-larger organisations delivering collaborative, measurable impact. Geographically, it funds across the UK (England, Wales, Scotland) and internationally.

The Firebird Foundation supports innovative charities, coalitions, and organisations of all sizes, from grassroots to larger entities. It prioritises work that delivers collaborative, measurable impact for women, children, and communities. There are no restrictions on income, geography, or religious affiliation. The Foundation looks for organisations with proven impact and scalability, and those that align with its three funding pillars. Beneficiary groups are women and children, with a particular focus on girls and survivors of abuse.

The Foundation does not accept unsolicited applications, one-off interventions, or non-collaborative projects. It only funds organisations it has proactively researched and approached. Projects that do not align with its three pillars or that lack a collaborative, systemic approach are not considered.

The Firebird Foundation operates on an invite-only basis, proactively researching and approaching aligned partners. It does not accept unsolicited applications.
