Harbour Foundation

The Foundation funds humanitarian relief, refugee welfare, educational advancement for vulnerable groups, health initiatives, and community wellbeing projects. Its support is flexible in form, covering project funding, core costs, unrestricted support, capital, revenue, seed funding, emergency relief, and capacity building. Work can take place in the UK, primarily England and Wales, or overseas, and the trustees prioritise interventions that address acute needs beyond what the state provides. The beneficiary groups most often reached through this funding include refugees, homeless individuals, displaced persons, children, youth, older people, and people with disabilities.

UK-registered charities are eligible for support, regardless of size, income level, or where in the UK they are based. The Foundation works with voluntary bodies and other charitable organisations that serve refugees, homeless individuals, displaced persons, children, youth, older people, and those with disabilities. There are no restrictive thresholds; the emphasis is on alignment with the Foundation's humanitarian objectives and the trustee-researched nature of its giving.

The Foundation operates on a strictly invite-only basis. Trustees research and identify potential grantees themselves, and unsolicited proposals are not accepted. Grants are typically flexible, with support available for project costs, core running costs, unrestricted funding, capital, revenue, seed funding, emergency relief, and capacity building. This reflects a partnership approach that prioritises trustee-led discovery and long-term family stewardship over public application rounds.
