Methodist Church in Great Britain

The Church funds faith-driven initiatives that integrate spiritual evangelism with social justice. It supports church growth and planting, discipleship training, gospel-sharing outreach, and equipping faith communities for mission. Funding also covers community engagement programmes, mental health and wellbeing services including counselling and social cohesion initiatives in deprived areas, youth work with after-school clubs, mentoring, and social action projects. Other areas include accessibility improvements for disabled people and elderly residents, physical wellbeing activities, chaplaincy for vulnerable groups, peer support groups fostering inclusion, therapeutic community spaces, environmental enhancements via energy-efficient buildings, capacity building training, personnel for outreach to marginalised individuals, language fellowships building cohesion among ethnic minorities and refugees, and innovative partnerships addressing social isolation, family support, carer wellbeing, and rural community resilience.

The Church funds Christian-led organisations, especially grassroots faith groups with lived-experience leadership. Eligible entities include faith groups and registered charities. Beneficiaries include disadvantaged urban and rural communities, vulnerable families in crisis, isolated older people, youth at risk, people with disabilities, and those experiencing homelessness or food insecurity. The Church prioritises organisations that integrate spiritual evangelism with social justice and have a holistic wellbeing focus and environmental commitment.

The Church does not fund ongoing maintenance, projects lacking sustainability or local commitment, duplication of services, or work without connexional significance or evidence-based impact. These exclusions help ensure funding supports mission-aligned, community-led initiatives.

The Church works in partnership with communities to deliver sustainable, community-led projects. It welcomes unsolicited applications and prioritises collaborative partnerships that integrate faith action with societal renewal.
